Dancing!

Diya loves music. She can't help but to move when music plays. You can look at this video and see how she moves :) She does this in church too - it's funny :) Here she is dancing to Thai Elvis :)

Thailand Wrap Up :)

We're home from Thailand now and this is my last group of pictures I need to post :) While we were in Chiang Mai, Aashini got a lot of mosquito bites. They loved her. She's sort-of allergic to mosquito bites because when she gets them she gets HUGE red welts and they itch her like crazy - so much so that we have to put band-aids over them so that she can sleep. One day I put the bandaids on her at nap time and I look over and she had taken them all off an put them on her fingers :) haha!
I just thought this was a cute picture.
Diya was playing with the sheets and rolling all around the bed :)
We took Aashini to one last "play place". Aashini and Diya rode together on one of the rides. Diya thought it was awesome! I love how she's holding onto Aashini's arm in this picture :)
... and I love how Aashini is looking at Diya in this picture :)
Aashini LOVES slides!!! We don't have many where we live, so she really enjoyed all the fun slides in Thailand :)
When we were at a mall in Bangkok, Aashini was bored (we were waiting on a man to bring us something), so Aashini got in this box. Everyone thought it was so funny.
In our room in Bangkok there was a crib. Diya usually sleeps in a pack-n-play, so she hasn't had the bars of the crib before. She loved them and was always holding on to one while she was sleeping. It was cute and really made me laugh :)

Last Zoo Day!

We went to the zoo one last time before we left Chiang Mai. Aashini wanted to see the Hippos and we hadn't seen them yet :) She really liked the fake ones she could sit on...
But she was amazed at the real ones! haha! She stood there for 20 minutes just staring at the hippos.
They sure are funny looking animals!
There were a lot of young monks at the zoo that day... they liked the hippos a lot too :)
We of course had to feed the elephant one last time....
I think this was Aashini's favorite thing about the zoo :)
She loved feeding that elephant and by this last time she wasn't afraid at all. She thought it was awesome :)

Movie Theatre Fun :)

Aashini regularly cracks us up! She is hilarious. The other day in Bangkok we went to a movie theater. It's a huge fancy one. We wanted to take her to see a movie, but there weren't any kid movies out while we were there. Toy Story 3 wasn't going to be there until August, but they had some fun displays out! Aashini ran to this one when she saw it and climbed in the middle of the aliens before I could stop her. It's kinda like a "Where's Waldo" picture :)
haha! She makes me laugh :)
So, one of the weird things we like to do at this theater is to just buy popcorn and a drink and sit in the lobby area and eat it. There are huge TVs and movie screens all over the lobby showing previews and other things that it's quite fun and entertaining. They also have all kinds of cool popcorn flavors and it's much cheaper than buying popcorn at the theater in America....

So after we finished our popcorn, Aashini stuck the popcorn bucket on her head. She is a total class clown. The minute we laughed she started performing :)
She started running all around with the bucket on her head. It was hilarious.
She even had Diya laughing (I know, horrible picture). She loves making Diya laugh :)
She had a bunch of other people laughing at her as she danced around.
After we left there, she didn't want to take off her bucket hat, so we walked around the rest of the mall with our child with the popcorn bucket on her head... I know, classy, but we did enjoy the funny expressions people had when they saw her... hilarious!
Never a dull moment!

Buddies :)

While in Thailand, Aashini got to play with a lot of friends. Some were old friends and some were new :) This is sweet Sarah below. Her dad used to live near us a few years ago before getting married and moving to a different country. It was fun to get to see them and meet their daughter - she was so sweet :)
When we were at the Juniper Tree in Chiang Mai, there were a bunch of kids. Aashini made a lot of new friends and go to swim with a lot of fun kids ;)
While in Chiang Mai, we got to see an "old" friend too :) Josiah was born a few months before Aashini. Here's Josiah when he was 2 months old and we were still pregnant :) Here's Josiah and Aashini playing together as babies :)
Anyway, they live in Chiang Mai right now, so we got to hang out with them while we were there :)
One night we got to go over to their house and Diya got to meet Josiah's brother Casey.
Casey let her play in his walker and she loved it!
Josiah let Aashini ride his bike with him on the back! I love it!!! Aashini looks so big in this picture!!!!!
They were cute riding on the bike together :)
We tried to get them to sit together so we could take a posed picture of them... It didn't work... this was the best we could get :)
Aashini loves her friends :) She was glad to get home too and see her friends at school. Lately she's been talking about her friend Seema at school. She is so happy to be back at school. It's cute :)

Bunnies!!

One day in Bangkok we stumbled on some really cute bunnies. I love little rabbits :) I always had one growing up (one of ours lived on our porch and was litter-box trained - they were fun!). Anyway, these bunnies were so cute and some of them even had on little outfits...
hahaha! I thought that was so funny!
Aashini was really into the bunnies - she kept wanting to touch their fur.
I love her face in this picture :)
She cried when we had to leave the bunnies :) She loved it :)

Around Chiang Mai

We've been hanging out in Chiang Mai, Thailand working on stuff lately (which is now finished! whoo hoo!! PTL!!) so we've been taking Aashini to do some fun things while we've been waiting. Aashini loves driving cars and this ride was so fun! It was in a store that is a lot like Wal-Mart that has a play area. The cars went around a fairly big curvy track and Aashini thought it was awesome!!!
Diya got her first pair of sunglasses and Aashini thought they were so cute on her. She kept saying: "Diya, you're so cute!!"
We got Aashini a plastic mesh bag of plastic fruit to play with. She thought that the bag needed to be a hat when she was cooking - haha! It totally looked like a hair net :)
Thai Elvis is one of my favorites. When we stay at one of the hotels we get to see him perform a few nights a week at the hotel. We figured out one week that he also performs in a food court in the basement of the mall that is attached to the hotel. Aashini thought he was awesome and watched him for a long time and danced. Elvis loved her and talked with her for a while afterwards :)
Diya's hair is starting to grow! Her hair seems pretty different than Aashini's... this night it was spikey and I thought it was cute ;)
We were at a kid's play place and I caught Adam playing this video game.... It looks really funny with a baby - haha!
Aashini got her first Dairy Queen Blizzard the other night :) She got one with M&Ms in it and was so excited :) She got chocolate all over her and she loved it! haha!
About a week ago we checked out of one hotel and into another. Aashini had a great time riding on the luggage cart :)
One night Aashini was tired and she was tired of me taking her picture... so she gave me the hand... look at that look on her face!
Diya sort-of tackled Aashini - haha! I love Diya's face in this picture :)
Aashini got a little small guitar at one of the markets and she loves it. The other night she fell asleep holding it - it was cute :)
We have a few more days left in Thailand - I'll post more pictures soon :)

Zoo Fun Again!

We have been to the zoo 3 times now. It's been a fun thing for us to do and Aashini has gotten some fun new experiences. She loves feeding the elephants now (she was pretty scared the first time).
She had no problem just sticking those cucumbers right into it's trunk!
On this zoo trip we went to the seal show. She LOVED it! It think it was one of her favorite things :)
She spent most of the show like this :) She really liked it :)
They had these funny little go-kart things at the zoo... they were really fun :)
Adam with his girls :)
Aashini eating some snacks :)
On this day there weren't many people at the zoo, so we had the animal show almost to ourselves (except for a few other people).
One of the birds took Adam's money :)
Aashini loves pandas :) She hung out with the pandas :)
She even gave them hugs ;)
She ended the day with a little chopstick drumming on bamboo :) what a fun day :) haha!
