Guess What???

We're having a baby in December!!!!
I'm about 5 weeks along!
Our due date is about December 8 :) We're Excited!!!!!
So... we need your help. Before Aashini was born, we called her Jellybean :)... sooooo.... so that we don't have to call this baby "Little Baby" the entire pregnancy, we need your help coming up with a fun Little Baby name.... Should we stick with the candy theme? (Jr. Mint, Runts, Smarties, etc)... or go with the bean thing? (Black Eyed Pea, Kidney Bean - haha!, etc)... :) Do you guys have any ideas?? :)
Also, please pr for this pregnancy that it's NOTHING like the last one (except for the end result :))!
You guys ROCK!!!
And... because I don't like doing a post without pictures... here's a random Aashini picture :)

Wow! My mom was right, haha :)
my suggestion for a baby nickname would be Snickers. just because that's an awesome candy bar lol.

Whoo hoo! Maybe that Dr. Pepper craving was something after all ;)

I definitely think you should stick with the candy theme...or maybe you should call this one little pepper since you've been craving Dr. Pepper. haha!

I called Asha my little guacamole because at one point she was the size of an avocado. :)

Yay!!! Congratulations! So excited for you guys! That's awesome!

Oh Andrea! I'm so happy for you! We get to be belly buddies again...for a little while at least. :) I think you should go with the candy theme and call this one Reese.

So exciting!!!! I read your update last night and couldn't help but smile. :) Congratulations!!! Hmm...Jellybean was such a fun nickname, I can see why it'd be hard to come up with another!

Congratulations y'all! That's so exciting! I like your friend's suggestion of "chickpea" for the name. So how far apart will they be? Reister and Mason are 22 months apart. It's fun!

Sugarplum! Because it's a DECEMBER baby! :) Or maybe Pumpkin if you have it in November. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Congratulations!! How fun, I was wondering if you would join Emily and Melanie sometime soon! Haha! I like sugarplum, that's cute.

WOW! We are so excited for you guys! I must admit - chickpea sounds pretty cute and gender neutral. We'll be praying for your health!

Congradulations!!! That is so funny because Sam and I were looking at pictures of your daughter and wondering when you guys were going to try for number 2! :)
Anyhow, Sam and I give the WORST kid nick names. We still call them both Booger Bear.

Congrats! I'm partial to Peanut (in the food family), but I like the chickpea idea, too. Pumpkin is also good for a fall/winter pregnancy.

Congratulations! You're definitely on our prayer list.

You could go with Skittle or Sweet Tart!

Wow! Congrats! I'm sure Aashini will be super excited to have a new playmate! As for nicknames, I vote for gummybear.

congrats!!! We are so thrilled for you and Adam (and little "A") - I say stick with the candy theme! You know I was thinking about you this week - I remember someone posted something about a craving or feeling you were having and asked if you were pregnant - and your response was "Not that we know of..." I have had that in my head since I read it and so happy to see the results are positive! You will remain in our prayers!!!!

Congrat! How exciting! I like the "chickpea" idea too. Too cute... other than that I'm not too creative. But I know you guys are and will come up with something way cute.

How about peanut? It's technically a bean, but it sounds so much cuter.

Jen Nicholson said...

Hey, I think ChickPea is awesome! We called Phoebe SweetPea, because the first time we saw her she was the size of a pea! And Noah, Peanut, for the same reason.

i so think you should stick with the candy theme...you could call him or her "sugarbaby", or Nerd (just kidding on that one), maybe "whopper"....or your little "kitkat"...wow chocolate sounds so good right now. oh btw, abigail was born dec. 7th....good luck :)

skittles...

because it is what my kids buy every week from your dad!

Alicia said...

yay! I have been waiting for this post honestly. Congrats!! I think you should call him/her jellybelly. The type of jelly bean.

Congratulations! I like sweetpea as a baby nickname but you have lots of good suggestions thus far.

so exciting! this is not really in either category, but i like the name tater tot. however, i'm at work right now and have been thinking about tater tots with cheese all morning...yum...

maybe i can suggest something better when i'm not craving greasy food.

but chickpea is so girly, it has "chick" in the name! what if it's a boy?

I like 'peanut' better. it sticks with the snack food thing AND has "pea" in it, AND it's what the baby will look like when you see it on the ultrasound.

I would vote OUT pumpkin, since that sounds like an actober o november baby, and I hope this one actually stays put until december! :) if you want a season name, go with candy cane or sugarplum or something december-ish. I'm pulling for this one to be FULL TERM!

welcome to the knocked-up-in-09 club! we're glad to have you! congrats!

Congratulations! Ok, I know you don't know us, but I wanted to write and introduce ourselves. I found your blog through the Snodgrasses (who we've just emailed with a couple times about India). My husband and I served in Uganda prior to getting married (actually we met as jmen). We have a real heart for India and hope to serve there when Spencer finishes at Southern next year. I so enjoy reading your blog and check it frequently so I thought I'd comment and not just be a crazy blog stalker :) Wish you guys the best with this pregnancy. By the way, I like going with the 'bean theme' and calling it 'chickpea'.

Congratulations! So excited for you guys! When Annie was in my belly, we called her "Bellybean" instsead of Jellybean! Can't wait for updates on this pregnancy! We'll pr that everything goes well, and not like the last one! :)

Have I ever told you the nicknames I have for my girls?
Shanti - Little pumpkin; in Hindi "Chota Cadoo"
Asha - Sweet Pea; in Hindi "Meeta Mutter"
Jyoti - Sugar Plum; in Hindi "Jaggery Jamun"

(See the alliteration there?! I'm a fan of alliteration. Guess I'm a goober. Haha! Ooo...goober! That could be a good nickname for your new little one.)
