All Dressed Up!!

We were all dressed up to go to a wedding the other day, so we had to take a few pictures :)

I tried taking pictures of the girls, but it was hard to get them both to look at the camera at the same time - haha!

Playin'!

The mall near our house has an outside play area that is open in the evenings. It's like a carnival because you have to pay for each ride you go on or each area you play in. We decided to let Aashini play here one night and she had a blast! The first thing she played on was a trampoline that had balls all over it! It was quite fun!! She thought it was awesome to fall into the balls :)

One thing Aashini has really been wanting to do is to drive the cars :) The cars are totally funny here!

You get into a car and a guy operates it by a remote control, but he has to stay right behind it - it's funny :) The funniest thing is that Aashini could still steer too, so the man is trying to make the car go right and Aashini is steering all crazy! haha! At one point he asked us to tell her not to steer :) haha! yeah, like an almost 3 year old is going to just sit in the car and not steer - haha! It was hilarious!

Aashini thought she was driving the car all by herself - it was so funny! :)

The last thing we did was let her drive boats :) They had these little motor boats in the fountain of the mall plaza - so funny!

For a while Aashini kept spinning in circles, but she got the hang of it and had a ton of fun :)

She loves playing!!!

I've been busy and haven't been able to post in a while, but here are some of the many faces of Diya :) I love the little faces she makes :) I love this face (below) It's one of my favorites :)

Commonwealth Games Fun! - Athletics!

We bought tickets to some of the events for the Commonwealth Games to take the family to. We weren't sure how the girls would do at the games. We kinda figured on about an hour at each game :) We took the girls to their first event on Friday to see Athletics (basically Track & Field - see the other blog to see more about our trip :)) Anyway, the girls had a blast!
They passed out free flags when we walked in and Aashini LOVED her flag! She thought it was awesome!
She waved it and cheered for everyone :)
Diya REALLY loved her flag too! She was so happy when she was holding it... but she did whack the guy in front of her a few times - oops :)

CD?

When I was first pregnant with Aashini we found a store in a market that had gotten a shipment in of a handfull of books from Goodwill in the US that they were selling for about 25 cents or so each, so we bought most of them :) (That store usually has college text-books and just randomly had these books and hasn't had them since - it was weird). Anyway, some of the books were pretty old. The other day Aashini had one of the books and came running up to us and said: "Look mom! This book has a big CD in it!!"

haha! She loved her "big CD" :) It made me laugh :)

Pottery Painting :)

The other day Adam thought he was feeling better and wanted to get out of the house. We decided to go to the mall and let Aashini paint at our favorite pottery place. She LOVED it! She painted a plate that she'll be able to eat on when we get it back :) She loves to paint. Look at the concentration on her face!

The plate was completely covered in paint when she was done with no white spaces! At one point I asked her to smile for the camera and she gave me this funny face - haha! Cracks me up!

Diya didn't get to paint but she had fun too :)
