I've been working on Aashini's room a little bit every day since we've been back, and for now, I've finished fixing it up :) She really only plays in it right now :) She's not ready for the "big bed" yet :) haha!
Anyway, these pics aren't that great, but this is the view you see when you walk through the door (the door on the right of the picture is a bathroom). Here's the wall opposite her bed. You can see on the far left of the picture, a picture that our friend AJ made Aashini. It's really cute and has pictures of kids and babies and Bible verses. I'll take a picture of it someday and post it :)
... And here's her fun bookshelf - and my game shelf :) haha! It came built into the wall, it's really cool!

haha cute!!!
i remember the gas cylinders. lol
What a cute room! You did a great job fixing it up. We are going to be fixing up Jared's room and painting and stuff now that we don't have to move. I'm so glad!
he's she doing on the potty, by the way?
where does she sleep now? I don't see a crib in her room but you said she's not ready for the big girl bed yet. now I'm crazy curious.
I just realized she probably sleeps in your room, and now I feel like a doofus since that's crazy obvious. :)
Funny, we both posted about our girls' bedrooms today! :)
It looks totally different!! What did y'all do with the bed that was in there? How is the potty going? It's funny, I didn't even notice the gas cylinder until I read the comments!
She's doing great on the potty - I'll post more about that later :)
Well, Emily, as you know, almost all beds in our part of South Asia are 2 beds just pushed together ;) So this is just half of that bed, and the other half is in our office - it fit perfectly! Whoo hoo!
Sorry Em, that didn't sound like I meant it - haha! "As you know..." haha!
haha No I knew what "tone" you were typing in! I was just shocked at myself that I already forgot that about the beds. How do I not notice a big old gas cylinder in a picture, but forget that the king beds are two twins?? What's next, I forget that auto rickshaws drive crazy?
haha! You crack me up :)
Oh, and we had the bumpiest rickshaw ride home last night!
great job with the room!! :)
i'm totally impressed that you've thought all the way ahead to toddler-bed time. I've got another one on the way and am still not that prepared! yikes!
