Today was Aashini's first Holi :) I'm really not sure what she thought about it. She made some funny faces though :) This was my fave face she made...
She got pretty colorful, but luckily we put coconut oil all over her and the colors came off pretty easily :)

How fun! Where did you guys play? I've only played Holi once and it was from the roof so I didn't ever get any color on me. But the kids we played with were soaking wet!
She's so cute! really getting some chubby baby cheeks! how awesome to see her growing so healthy!
so remind us again, what's the purpose of holi?

Can't wait to meet her!

Looks like fun! I love her smile in the tub. I can't get over how big she's getting. She's just too stinkin cute.
Shannon - we played in our neighborhood - mostly on our street :)
Katie - Holi has different meanings in different areas, depending on who you ask :) (as with most things in our country)... To most people, it's a celebration of spring/summer being here (which is why there are so many bright colors). There is also a religious side to it that most people only know about vaguely. The day before all of the colors, they burn fires in the evening which represents burning the demoness Holika... you can read more on this:

it's pretty good. :)
That first picture is so cute - both of y'all look cute! Your hair looks really cute like that! I just said 'cute' 3, well 4, times.
What a precious smile in the bathtub. Adam looks pretty crazy!
I love these bright pictures! Aashini is getting so big, I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by! I love her precious smiles and those big eyes! She is going to love these pictures when she's older! How many babies get to play like that? Pretty cool!!
She is TOO cute!
Celebrating two sets of holidays with your kids is one of the fun things about living overseas! I saw some folks in the States celebrating Holi once, but they didn't look as colorfully, festively fun as Aashini!
