My Rockstars!

I have two girls that want to be rockstars :) haha! Aashini loves playing her guitars! She calls them "atars" :) She's really funny!

Here is my little Diva... I mean Diya ;) haha! She loves to touch fuzzy things! If she's fussy and tired, I can put a fuzzy stuffed animal on her tummy and she'll touch the fur, relax and fall asleep :) It's adorable! The other day I was in another part of the house with Aashini and didn't have a stuffed animal nearby, so I put this boa on her and it worked like a charm :) haha!

Poems!

Here is a short video of Aashini :) She can say the ABCs pretty well now, but if she gets hung-up on a letter she just says "X Y Z!!!" - it's funny :) She can also count to 20 in English and 15 in Hindi (but you'll only see her count to 2 in this video - haha!).... The main part of this video is Aashini doing 2 poems. They teach her how to do poems at school (they call them po-yums at school though - haha!) The first one is in English. It's called "Rolly Polly" (she only does one line of it and repeats it in funny ways). The Second one is in Hindi - it's about a Lion (which is why she's talking in a funny voice) :) haha! It makes me laugh! (oh, and ignore the runny nose in this video - she's battling a cold :))

Diya :)

Diya is doing good :) She's been sick the last few days, but I think she's on her way to feeling better :) Diya loves her sling :) She doesn't always like being put in it, but she loves it once she's in it ;)

We got this chair from some folks that were moving from here. It's like a Bumbo chair, but it's called the Bebe Pod :) - The name makes me laugh - haha! Anyway, Diya isn't able to fully support her head yet, but she can do it for a very short amount of time. We put her in it for a short amount of time here and there to help her build up her neck muscles. This picture cracked me up :) Thought I'd pass it along :) haha!

On being Two...

Aashini is definitely two! She can be very stubborn and opinionated ;) The other day we were out to lunch and I wanted to take a picture of Aashini and she didn't want me to!

She kept saying: "no pictures, no pictures" and put up the hand!

Then she just hid her face... Poor thing :) I guess I take a lot of pictures of her :)

She's a lot of fun and definitely keeps us on our toes!!

I attempted to take some Valentine's Day pictures of the girls, but they weren't as interested in doing that as I was :) haha!

Aashini decided she didn't want to take anymore pics, so I took a few of just Diya.

I messed up the hearts in this picture (they look kinda like snails :)), but I thought she was making a cute face :)

Sisters!

Aashini loves her little sister!! So far, it's been a really easy transition for her. She doesn't seem to be jealous at all which is a HUGE blessing! She always wants to love on her and play with her. I think Aashini looks sweet in this picture ;) (Diya looks a little tortured)...

Just Dance!

Aashini LOVES music!! This video cracks me up :) She loves for us to turn on music. She dances all around when we do it. This is her favorite place to listen to music - by the kitchen table (not sure why) :) Anyway, here's a video of Aashini dancing :) I love it! :)

2 Months!!!

I can't believe she's already 2 months old... well, I say that, but it's hard to imagine what life was like without her :) It seems like she's always been with us ;) haha!

This girl loves her thumb! We really don't want her to be a thumb-sucker, but sometimes it's nice when she's upset and we're out :)

We tried taking her 2 month pictures a few days before, but Aashini made it a little difficult :) Look how big she looks next to Diya!!
