Readjusting...

So, we're home from the hospital and trying to readjust... she's not sleeping much lately, and wanting to eat every 1.5 hours... so needless to say, we haven't gotten tons of sleep.... I think she's making up for lost time from being in the hospital...

Aashini LOVES our little space heater! It can almost always put her to sleep.... so.... we've been using it when we're desperate for some sleep... we have this great bouncy vibrating chair (in the pic below) that we inherited. We'll put her in it with the heater on her and she will almost always fall asleep :) It's great!
We were out and about today, so I put Aashini in the little sling thing we have.... we have a great baby carrier thing, but she's way too small for it right now... and this sling is great! Aashini LOVES it! She falls asleep every time we put her in it! So at one point today, we stopped to get some food. While we were ordering, there was a lady that kept looking at me and Aashini. I figured she wanted to see the baby, so when we were walking out, I walked by her and she motioned towards me. I went over to her and she began lecturing me about how babies have to be kept straight and flat and not curled-up in the sling I was wearing. She used big hand motions while she was lecturing me and it was quite funny. Here's some other Aashini pics from the last couple of days... We were about to take her to the doc right after I took the pic below... I think she knew she was about to go... she has a concerned look on her face - haha!
And this pic cracks me up :)
On a side note... I think we've mastered bath-time :) Today she fell asleep during her bath!! It was awesome! whoo hoo! Now, if only we could get her to sleep at night in her bed :)

So cute! The comments about the sling crack me up. The only way Emma will slepp during the day is if I am wearing her! Seriously, I put her in her crib or she will wake up within 5 minutes! People are so funny sometimes, how does she think she was in the womb. Working on her posture? LOL!!!

By the way, I love that green jammy. I think Emma has the same one. :)

Keep the pictures coming! We love seeing them!

Ha! I had totally forgotten about straightening the baby- we used to have people come us to us all the time and tell us we needed to straighten our baby.

She is so precious. I hope the sleep thing gets better soon :)

By the time Jellybean #2 gets here you guys will know all the tricks:)
Of COURSE she loves the space heater and of COURSE she loves the sling... she was folded up and 98 degrees 24/7 in the womb... she's tellin' the world, "Look, I came out a bit early, so I'm totally entitled to space heater and sling time!"

You guys are doing great!

I think that last one is my favorite. Isn't amazing how bold people can be when it comes to other people's children??? i am so happy you guys have a great seince of humor!! I don't think I was ever "straightened" out as a baby and aside from this unusual hump on my back, I'm fine!!
She is growing beautifully!

such a cute little one! i too couldn't live w/o my snugli/sling thing. i'd put gracie in it while i did dishes so she'd go to sleep! ...makes it hard to reah the sink though!

how exactly do you straighten a baby? and does it involve a rack? come on! you wear her, and you wear her proud! of course she's happy all curled up and snuggled up next to mommy.

so glad you guys are home and doing well!

I love her little "Cutie" outfit! she IS a cutie! hey that third pic with the blanket over her...we have a blanket that looks almost identical to it with the white and pink material. did someone make it for her? cuz Eden's was homemade, but they look so similar! :)

Ahhh- these pictures are so cute! It's hard to remember the days when mine were so scrunchy and that little! Treasure these moments- they fly by so quickly- even the ones where they only want to cuddle up with you to sleep!
