Comic Con - Day 2 - The Kiddos

The kiddos love Comic Con!  They love getting dressed up the most :) haha!  On this day, the girls got a little more creative with their costumes... Diya wanted to be Mayday (Spidergirl)... her outfit cracked me up!  She said:  "I want to be Spidergirl... but I don't want to wear those pants!!"... so she improvised :) haha!

Aashini wanted to be Princess Leia (even though she has no idea who that is! haha!)... she wore her Star Wars shirt over her dress-up dress and wanted her hair up like Princess Leia :) haha!

 They had a few events for the kiddos... this was one where they showed kids how to draw a superhero :)

 Diya wasn't into drawing... here she is enjoying herself :)

 They had Comic Cupcakes.... The girls picked Betty & Veronica Cupcakes :)

We didn't make it to the last day... The kiddos were to exhausted :) haha!  It was a fun Comic Con :)

Comic Con 2013 - Day 1 - The Kiddos :)

 Comic Con was fun again this year and did not disappoint :)  Aashini loved dressing up! (and leaving her house in her dress up clothes :))....

The Axe Deo Spray guy was there... Aashini thought he was awesome!

 On the first day the kiddos got their pictures taken a TON!!!  They had so much fun getting their pictures taken (for the first half of the day anyway) :)  haha!  They were surrounded by people the whole time!

 The Girls entered the CosPlay contest.  They were in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Category.  Aashini was Snow White.

 Diya was Tinkerbell :)  They both went up on state with zero problems and answered all the questions.  It was cute :)

 Waiting on the results... the kiddos couldn't stay away from the stage :) haha!

 Diya won the Sci-Fi Fantasy Category!!!!  Here she is taking her swag bag off the stage! haha!

 This guy won overall for the night... he won a trip to Dubai for their Comic Con!  Cool hunh?  They had a winner each night!

Kite Festival!

 The other day we went to a Kite Festival with our friends Ranjit & Deepa and their kids :)

The kiddos LOVED the kites :)  I love Diya's excitement in this picture :)

There were some pretty cool kites!

The kids loved being there and running all around in the grass :)

This guy was doing some really cool moves with this kite!  Aashini LOVED it!!

The guy was really good with the kite! (except when the wind went crazy and it wacked me in the head! haha!). You can see a video of the kite :) You can't see it hit me in the head, but you see when it happened :) haha!

After the kites were done we ate the food that we snuck in :)  (And we had our first Macaroons!)

Christmas 2012

Christmas!  We had a great Christmas this year!

The girls had fun decorating our Christmas tree :)

 Of course they had to decorate the tree while wearing dress-up clothes.... just about everything they do at home requires them to wear dress-up clothes :) haha!

 The Sunday before Christmas the Hindi Church Kids did a cute performance :)

 We always celebrate Christmas as a family on Christmas Eve :)  Since the girls have school on Christmas Eve, we celebrated when they woke up from their naps :)  Here they are waiting to go into the living room and open their presents :)
