Just Hangin' Around...

AASHINI CAN SIT UP BY HERSELF!

She's been wanting to sit up for a while now, but gets so distracted with the things all around her that she just couldn't do it... but then, just the other day, we sat her up and she stayed... now she sits up all day!! She's so big!!

Here's Aashini under a pile of diapers... (don't worry, they're clean)...Aashini still enjoys her pool time :) Lately we've been putting her in her float with her feet back and she's been "crawling" around the pool - it's so cute :)
She's been having fun!

James and Emily left on a plane yesterday. The night before they came over and watched American Idol and we all hung out and came over yesterday morning for breakfast and then the boys and the babies hung out while Emily and I went to the market and got Mehindi (Henna)... So the girls got one last chance to play...OK here are a few funny pics ... This one looks like Aashini is saying: "Kiss the Hand" :)

Scootin' Fun!

Not too long ago, Emily and I got these little South Asian "walkers" for the girls... Aashini has just gotten to where she can use it... I'm not sure what size kid it's made for, but it's a little treacherous... To be able to use it she has to be able to stand pretty well on her own or be able to balance really well in the funny seat... the seat is really narrow, and well... it's hard to explain. Anyway, she's starting to like it now and has been scooting around a little :)
Yesterday when I put her in it, she fell through one of the leg holes... she didn't cry but kept making these funny faces and seemed very confused as to what was happening :) haha!

Look at her monkey toes in the pic above... haha!

More 6 Month Fun :)

Wow! I can't believe how much Aashini has grown in just 6 months!!! Here's here bear pictures so you can compare. Although the bear looks different in these two pics, it's the same bear- Taken at one month and 6 months. This picture definitely doesn't show just how big she's grown! She's HUGE :) I can't believe she was ever this tiny!!!!
She totally won't let me hold her like this anymore :)

One thing that hasn't grown though.... HER HAIR!!... She was born with a decent amount of hair (below)...

But now... no hair :( haha! I do think that it's growing now though - but very slowly :)

Aashini is really getting into eating now. She eats 2x a day and loves it :) Today she was crying a lot and I felt her bottom gums and I think I feel a tooth coming in! Fun :) She also loves to stand now :)

SIX MONTHS!

I can't believe that Aashini is six months old!!!! Crazy!!!
Some of our friends took pics of their daughter with some flowers, so we thought it would be fun :) Aashini sure liked it :)

She tried to eat it many times :) haha!

I feel like she's grown up so much this month! She likes to stand now, she can sit up by herself for a few seconds, she likes to say the "B" sound, she's eating food... Crazy!

After a while she broke her flower and seemed to be pretty proud of herself.

Now that she's been eating, she doesn't drool as much... but she still drools a little :)

Funny Faces!

Aashini has been making some really funny faces lately! Ever since she's started eating food, she's loved to play with her tongue. It's always sticking out! She's quite hilarious!!!This one (below) really cracks me up! It looks like she's really sticking her tongue out at me in a "nany-nany-boo-boo" kind of way (is that even how you spell that? haha!)
My little preemie has turned into quite the chub-a-lub! This pic below really showcases that - she's making a cute chubby little face :)
